15 New cases of Covid-19

Lagos State Commissioner for Health , Prof . Akin Abayomi has
confirmed fifteen new cases of coronavirus in the state .
Recall that Nigeria recorded 22 new cases on Wednesday ,
bringing the total number of cases in the country to 276.
“ Twenty - two new cases of COVID 19 have been reported in
Nigeria : 15 in Lagos , 4 in the FCT , 2 in Bauchi , 1 in Edo, ” NCDC
tweeted .
Confirming the development , Prof Abayomi on Twitter said
“ Update as at 8 April , 2020 .
“ Lagos Confirms 15 new cases of # COVID 19 .
“ The 15 new cases brings the total number of confirmed
# COVID 19 cases to 145 Practice # SocialDistancingNow to stop
the chain of # COVID 19 transmission .

Another student raped and murdered in Ibadan

Barakat was found dead at the back of her house. A 19-year-old lady, identified as Barakat Bello, has been gang raped and murdered in Ibadan, the Oyo state capital. reports has it that the incident occurred on Tuesday, June 2, 2020 in the Akinyele area of Ibadan. Barakat was a student of the Institute of Agriculture, Research and Training, Ibadan. Barakat’s sister found her lifeless body behind their home. Further examination revealed that she was raped before being murdered. Father of the deceased,  Kasimu Elepo,  told S aharaReporters   that,  “I was not at home when the incident happened.
