Ramon Olorunwa Abbas a.k.a. “Ray Hushpuppi” now faces a statutory maximum sentence of 20 years in a US federal prison after being extradited from Dubai to the United States.    In a statement released by the US Department of Justice, the suspected Nigerian fraudster was accused of conspiring to launder hundreds of millions of dollars from business email compromise (BEC) frauds and other scams, including schemes targeting a U.S. law firm, a foreign bank and an English Premier League soccer club.   Hushpuppi made his initial U.S. court appearance this morning in Chicago, and he is expected to be transferred to Los Angeles in coming weeks.   Federal prosecutors who filed a criminal complaint filed on June 25, alleged that the suspected Nigerian fraudster is "one of the leaders of a transnational network that facilitates computer intrusions, fraudulent schemes (including BEC schemes), and money laundering, targeting victims around the world in schemes...

The police in Oyo state have arrested 26-year-old Shagbada Erigga pictured above for allegedly killing his girlfriend, Happiness Winifred, 30, for refusing to have sex with him     Parading the suspect before newsmen today June 30, the Oyo state Commissioner of Police, CP. Chuks Enwonwu, said that the suspected murderer, Erigga invited Happiness, a mother of three, to his home to spend the night with him on June 21. They got into a heated argument after she refused to have sex with him. He punched her three times. A 42-year-old woman has been arrested by the police in Naivasha, Kenya for reportedly killing her 4 children  (three girls and one boy) who are between the ages of 2 and 8 years.    The mother of 6 identified as Beatrice Mwende Kimotho, allegedly locked her children in the house before giving them poison at Kabati Estate.   K2TV reported that the police said they received a distress call from Jackson Kimani Kimotho, the woman’s brother saying that she had asked him to check on the children who she had killed at her house. He further revealed that his sister shared pictures of the children in a family WhatsApp group after killing them, asking for prayers.   Upon entering the two-bedroom house, the police found the bodies of the four children on their beds with traces of vomit and blood in their mouth.    Naivasha Sub County Police Commander Samuel Waweru confirmed the incident, adding that the suspect is in lawful police cu...
